About the Role The Hershey Company is seeking a Packaging Manager for the Guadalajara, Mexico (El Salto Plant) area with a hybrid work arrangement. This role leads in-country packaging design, development, qualification, and implementation for Mexico and export production, and supports the BI SR Manager by managing staff and collaborating across disciplines to ensure packaging quality, compliance, and innovation. What You'll Do
- Define and execute training needs for graphics, packaging development and project management systems.
- Direct, manage, and supervise the organization to deliver all new packaging developments in Mexico and export markets.
- Ensure projects are completed within committed deadlines and meet overall business expectations and quality.
- Supervise and allocate packaging development resources (engineers and graphic designers) to projects and coordinate with global and domestic teams.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, R&D, OBMs, Manufacturing, Procurement and other stakeholders to ensure packaging solutions meet technical and regulatory requirements.
- Actively engage with the broader external packaging industry to identify emerging technologies applicable to confectionery packaging. What We're Looking For
- Advanced English language proficiency.
- Experience leading packaging design, development, qualification, and implementation for Mexico and export markets.
- Strong ability to manage cross-functional teams and packaging resources (engineers and graphic designers).
- Track record of delivering packaging projects on time and ensuring quality and compliance.
- Ability to engage with external packaging partners and leverage internal/external resources (Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, Legal, Procurement).
- Experience in the confectionery category packaging is a plus.
