About the Role As an Owner's Engineer within Black & Veatch’s Advanced Power Generation Services, you will own and deliver large-scale, complex services projects spanning conventional generation such as combined cycle, simple cycle, and plant expansion. You will lead project teams and coordinate with EPC contractors and clients to drive successful project outcomes, and you will also contribute to business development and client relationship building. What You'll Do
- Own and deliver large scale, complex services projects encompassing combined cycle, simple cycle, and plant expansion primarily for conventional generation.
- Provide technical support for client projects with design review services, design engineering services, development engineering support, feasibility studies, energy production estimates, and cost estimates, construction support and testing & commissioning.
- Lead project teams and clients through the entire project lifecycle as an Owner’s Engineer, which may include construction and startup for combined cycle, simple cycle, combined heat and power, and some boiler applications.
- Lead business development efforts through proposal support, technical specification preparation, RFP support, and bid evaluation support.
- Oversee EPC contractors and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project success and well managed expectations.
- Serve as the primary Owner’s Engineer with assigned clients to assist in developing client relationships and identification of new project opportunities including pre-positioning for favorable consideration by the client.
- Mentor and develop Project Managers and Engineering Managers, setting execution standards and best practices across projects What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as Owner’s Engineer or in a similar role within power generation projects.
- Strong leadership and client/stakeholder management skills with ability to coordinate across EPC contractors and internal/external teams.
- Experience in design review, development engineering, feasibility studies, energy production estimates, and cost estimation; construction support and testing & commissioning.
- Ability to develop and maintain client relationships and identify new project opportunities.
- Mentorship and leadership capabilities to develop Project Managers and Engineering Managers; setting execution standards and best practices. Compensation & Benefits
