About the Role
Alstom's entry point in the rolling stock maintenance domain: an entry-level Maintenance Worker role based in Canada, combining hands-on maintenance with formal training to become an Accredited Locomotive and Car Inspector.
During the first three months, you will undergo theoretical and practical training after which you will be certified as an Inspecteur accrédité locomotif et voiture. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functionality of rolling stock for commissioning, with all activities performed in compliance with health and safety policies on site. What You'll Do

Perform and document routine and preventive maintenance repairs on cars and locomotives

Perform the primary safety brake test on locomotives and cars

Repair and install car/locomotive parts (air valves, bearings, couplings, cylinders, non-motorized and non-electrified wheels)

Provide support during air-brake tests for locomotives and the car, including quarterly and more frequent tests What We're Looking For

Formation and/or relevant experience in mechanical/electromechanical fields

Champion of health and safety at work

Team player with strong communication skills in French and ideally in English

Valid Quebec driver's license

Flexibility to work across day, evening, night shifts and weekends

Geographic flexibility to travel to depots in Montréal (Gare centrale, Lachine, Pointe St Charles) as well as Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Mascouche, Vaudreuil-Dorion, Delson and Saint-Jérôme Nice to Have

Hourly rate at hire: CAD 26.29; after 6 months: CAD 30.19
