Job title: Outside Processing Vendor Coordinator
About the Role The Outside Processing Vendor Coordinator supports vendor management and scheduling for outside processing to ensure on-time delivery and conformance to QCM/QCI requirements. This role inspects delivered product to verify specifications and coordinates with internal teams to meet shop floor and month-end shipping needs.
What You'll Do
- Review and schedule outside processing product loads to ensure shop floor schedules and customer requirements are met.
- Communicate with vendors regarding weekly/monthly delivery requirements and capacity thru-put issues.
- Ensure vendor adherence to all QCM/QCI requirements (e.g., tech cards, certifications).
- Interact with Manufacturing and Planning concerning outside processing needs to ensure product meets schedule requirements.
- Maintain critical part movement and support month-end shipping requirements.
- Coordinate and direct activities to facilitate meeting shop floor schedules.
- May include limited management of hazardous waste including transferring hazardous waste to the facility’s hazardous waste storage location. Annual hazardous waste training is required for employees with any hazardous waste responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
- Able to work weekends and non-standard hours.
- Demonstrated proficiency in math and analytical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; proven decision making ability.
- Excellent organizational and multi-task skills.
- 5–7 years of experience with outside processing vendor base and knowledge of investment casting finishing processes (machining, heat treat-vacuum/atmosphere, cleaning) strongly preferred.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Production scheduling experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
- Compliance with export control regulations (ITAR/EAR) as required for position.
Nice to Have
- Strongly preferred: 5–7 years of outside processing vendor base experience and knowledge of investment casting finishing processes.
- Production scheduling experience.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
