About the Role The Department for OS Architecture Development shapes the technical vision for the microkernel OS of Kaspersky Lab. We define how a modern general-purpose OS should work to compete globally. The team owns the architectural review process and provides architectural oversight, aligning system components with business goals and arbitrating tough decisions. We are building the security model for the future KasperskyOS, reorienting it toward general-purpose scenarios: mobile devices and workstations. This is a major rewrite that touches nearly every system component, since the product previously focused mainly on embedded use cases.
What You'll Do
- Lead architectural review and oversight, ensuring components align with strategic goals and resolving difficult design choices.
- Shape and implement the security model for the next-generation KasperskyOS aimed at general-purpose use (mobile devices and workstations).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive architecture changes across virtually all system components during this comprehensive rewrite.
