Duties and responsibilities:
- Interpreting radiology images of orthopedic and trauma cases;
- Manipulating and reducing fractures and dislocations;
- Fixing and removing casts, bandages and tractions to and from patients;
- Counselling patients/clients on issues regarding orthopedic trauma;
- Correcting Congenital Talipes Equino-Varus (C.T.E.V);
- Documenting orthopedic and trauma case
- Assessing and referring patients with Musculo-skeletal conditions
- Participating in the management of minor orthopedic and trauma cases in emergencies and accidents;
- Cleaning and treating simple wounds resulting from orthopedic trauma;
- Making follow-ups of orthopedic and trauma cases in the wards and out-patient clinics.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Orthopedic Plaster Technology or Orthopedic and Trauma medicine from a recognized institution
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
- Registration by a professional body
- Valid practicing license
