About this role
About the Role The UFCW Local 770 Organizing Internship offers hands-on training and field experience to help grow the labor movement in Los Angeles. The program combines classroom learning on history, theory, and tactics with placements on active organizing campaigns, guided by experienced organizers and focused on inside organizing and building strong worker committees.
What You'll Do
- Participate in a classroom component covering history, theory, and tactics.
- Be placed in the field on active organizing campaigns to develop practical organizing skills.
- Learn from experienced organizers who emphasize approaches that help workers win organizing drives.
- Contribute to inside organizing efforts and help build strong worker committees.
- Commit to helping build the labor movement in Los Angeles and to training as an organizer.
What We're Looking For
- Interest in becoming part of the labor movement and in organizing your workplace.
- Willingness to participate in a training program and to learn union organizing.
- Commitment to the mission of building power for workers in Los Angeles.
- Ability to collaborate with team members and participate in campaigns.
