About the Role
An Organizing Apprentice gains immediate, practical experience on interpersonal organizing, transformational relationship building, worker committee recruitment, and campaign development. Apprentices work on on-the-ground campaigns with close one-on-one mentorship from experienced organizers to develop their voice as a worker organizer and future labor leader. Based in Boston, MA, the program immerses apprentices in the union's culture and campaigns.
What You'll Do
- Gain practical experience in interpersonal organizing, relationship building, and campaign development on on-the-ground campaigns.
- Recruit and develop worker committees and contribute to campaign strategy and execution.
- Learn from experienced organizers through close one-on-one mentorship and deepen leadership capabilities.
- Become deeply integrated into the local union culture and the multilingual, diverse workforce it serves.
- Use strategy to drive fights to conclusive victories and build solidarity.
