Job title: Organics Analyst
About the Role Organics Analyst is responsible for supporting the analytical workflow in a laboratory setting, performing extractions using EPA methods and handling tasks from sample preparation to data analysis to help deliver high-quality testing results.
What You'll Do
- Perform extractions using various EPA methods and general lab tasks.
- Manage the analytical process from sample preparation, instrument setup, and data analysis.
- Prepare reagents for use in the sample preparation process.
- Safely wash scientific glassware and maintain a clean, orderly work environment with proper PPE.
- Recognize and maintain safe working conditions; follow safety policies.
- Maintain documentation and traceability through accurate recordkeeping.
- Support a clean, organized lab; take on other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work off shift and/or overtime.
- Possible travel to additional labs in other areas (as needed).
What We're Looking For
- HS Diploma; BS in a science discipline preferred.
- Proficient English verbal and written communication; professional interaction with staff, management and clients.
- Ability to work as a team, strong time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- High energy, diligent work ethic; thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail oriented, organized, and able to learn quickly; follow directions; strong commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, read labels, and handle glassware with dexterity.
- Eligible to work in the United States; willingness to comply with ALS eligibility requirements.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks and communicate effectively.
