Job title: Oracle RAC / Data Guard DBA

About the Role To diagnose and resolve complex technical issues impacting business operations, facilitate root cause analysis, and enhance customer feedback for support operations. This role focuses on Oracle Database environments, including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and related administrative tasks to ensure high availability, security, and reliable support.

What You'll Do

  • RAC: startup sequence, node eviction handling, SCAN listener functionality, Cache fusion, RAC troubleshooting techniques
  • ASM: architecture, adding disks to existing disk groups, different ASM disk group redundancy levels, ASM troubleshooting techniques
  • Data Guard: thorough knowledge of Data Guard environments, practical experience in building Physical standby environments, troubleshooting Data Guard issues, understanding Physical/Logical/Snapshot/ADG types, resolving large gaps
  • Administration: basic architecture, how a SELECT query works, handling ORA- errors (1555, 600, 7445, etc), Data Pump concepts
  • OS: manage Oracle DB in Linux, troubleshoot high CPU/memory issues, basic OS commands (VI editor, file permissions, SCP/FTP)
  • Additional responsibilities: champion ITIL, security, and data privacy; provide support for complex incidents escalated by analysts and perform root cause analysis; maintain a comprehensive Knowledge Base, mentor juniors, and deliver training for freshers; contribute to high CSAT scores and proactively address security vulnerabilities

What We're Looking For
