Optical Thin-Film Coating Process Engineer

We are seeking an Optical Thin-Film Coating Process Engineer to develop and optimize coating processes, create SOPs and processing flows, and support product testing and quality control. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Develop and optimize optical thin-film coating processes; draft standard operating procedures and coating process instructions.
• Continuously improve coating process capability, optimize workflow, implement quality monitoring, and enhance production efficiency.
• Lead product abnormality analysis during processing; participate in design reviews, technical analyses, and product improvements.
• Build and optimize testing platforms for optical coating products to ensure testing consistency and accuracy.
• Perform daily maintenance and care of coating machines, including basic repairs.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or higher in optical thin films, optoelectronics, or related field.
• Proficiency with TFC and Mcalod film-stack design software; knowledge of mechanical jig design.
• 3+ years' experience in optical coating industry; familiarity with coating machines (Labo/Laibo, Guangchi, and domestic machines); basic knowledge of ultrasonic cleaning for optical parts; telecom optical coating experience preferred.
• English reading and writing ability; good spoken communication.
• Outgoing, quick learner, able to work under pressure, strong teamwork and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in optical coating for the telecommunications field is preferred.
