About the Role The Optical Engineer will be part of the Optics team responsible for design, verification, and validation of high-speed optical components. This role encompasses development, process development, and productization for Marvell’s optics DCI product line. What You'll Do
- Contribute to optical component development and heterogeneous integration for next generation products and beyond.
- Implement creative solutions to accelerate next-gen photonics product development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of Digital and Analog Circuit designers, Signal/Power Integrity, substrate layout, and system design team.
- The person is expected to catch up with new responsibilities quickly and execute. What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics or related fields with 5+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics or related fields and 10+ years of related professional experience.
- Excellent understanding of semiconductor physics and successful design experience of optical devices such as detectors, modulators and integrated optical components, especially high speed linear integrated components.
- Hands-on optical and RF electrical modeling and simulation software to design electro-optical devices as well as EDA tools to make photonic IC layout.
- Hands-on optical device characterization including DC, RF and device control.
- Familiarity or direct experience of advanced electronics is a plus.
