About the Role Join Volt as an Optical Assembly Technician - Entry Level in Santa Clara, CA. This role focuses on building and integrating intricate optical components and mechanical sub-assemblies to meet stringent quality standards in a cleanroom environment.
What You'll Do
- Build and integrate intricate optical components and mechanical sub-assemblies according to detailed SOP.
- Work daily within an ISO Class 6 (Class 1000) cleanroom, following gowning protocols and contamination control procedures.
- Utilize high-power microscopes to inspect components for surface defects and ensure precise alignment of lenses and filters.
- Use specialized optical metrology tools and computer-based software to verify system performance and log quality data.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical production logs, ensuring assemblies meet rigorous QA standards.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and perform repetitive, fine-motor tasks with high accuracy.
- Proficiency with computers for data entry, accessing digital work instructions, and operating automated test equipment.
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform prolonged tasks under a microscope without loss of focus.
- Prior experience in an ISO-certified cleanroom environment or background in electronics/medical device assembly is preferred.
Nice to Have
- ISO-cleanroom experience or electronics/medical device assembly background is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $45.00 - $46.02 per hour (USD).
