Job title: Ops Tech I

About the Role SIG is seeking an Ops Tech I for 12-hour day shift openings. The role serves as the shift technical and mechanical expert to operate, changeover, and perform minor autonomous maintenance in the assigned production area, ensuring the Production Schedule is met and customer orders are fulfilled on time. The position is covered by the Lead Op when vacant.

What You'll Do

• Lead the shift as the technical and mechanical expert; troubleshoot and identify root causes to minimize downtime
• Inspect and perform routine upkeep of machines; document minor adjustments and repair processes
• Share technical knowledge and train others on machines, systems, procedures and work instructions; follow LOTO protocol
• Conduct quality checks and coordinate communication between maintenance, engineers, quality and production
• Support Production Technician/Operator to maximize OEE; ensure lines have necessary supplies
• Complete daily AM checklist and coordinate production changes, line clearance, and paperwork
• Issue materials and ensure accurate transactions to Production Orders and Report Ops; assist operators in recording production results via iAuditor
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance (OSHA, Fire Safety, EPA) and escalate issues when needed
• Promote Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives; perform other tasks as assigned

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED; ability to work safely and follow policies
• Detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment; flexible
• Positive attitude, cooperative nature, and leadership qualities; clear communication
• Good understanding of product lines; technical or mechanical skills; basic electrical understanding
• Basic mechanical alignment skills; automation experience is a plus
• Understands pneumatic/vacuum technology; ability to use measuring/leveling tools
• Position Eligibility Criteria: at least six months in current role; met or exceeded last performance review; no written warnings or probation/suspension in the last six months
