About this role
OPEX Engineer
It is the opportunity to:
- Identify improvement opportunities in production, administrative, and support processes to increase operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct process assessments through direct observation, data analysis, and shop floor walkthroughs.
- Analyze cycle times, capacity, efficiency, productivity, resource utilization, and process constraints.
- Develop Value Stream Maps (VSM) to identify waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate and facilitate Kaizen events with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and improve standard work procedures in collaboration with Production and Engineering teams.
- Support setup time reduction initiatives by applying Lean methodologies such as SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die).
- Perform root cause analysis using continuous improvement tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram (Ishikawa), Pareto Analysis, and A3 methodology.
- Follow up on improvement action plans to ensure timely implementation and achievement of expected results.
- Promote a Lean Manufacturing culture through training, coaching, and active participation with operational teams.
