About the Role The Utility Operator operates multiple pieces of equipment to support daily plant operations at Cemex Jacksonville. This role interfaces with the operations team and requires accurate, timely work as every activity impacts the overall operation. What You'll Do
- Operate loader, excavator, haul truck, grader, bulldozer, skid steer, and water truck as required.
- Load tractor trailers and dump trucks; maintain a clean and organized facility.
- Build and strip forms; mix and pour concrete and castables.
- Perform minor maintenance/repairs and assist with clean-up before and after maintenance.
- Communicate with truckers and customers; record downtime and actions taken.
- Fuel equipment and ensure loaders are clean; adhere to safety rules (CEMEX, OSHA/MSHA) and wear PPE.
- Meet or exceed company safety standards; perform other duties as assigned by management. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- English language proficiency (read, write, speak); bilingual a plus.
- Ability to read/use English; comfortable outdoors in extreme heat/cold/noise.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently; capable of climbing and operating controls.
- Willingness to undergo physical requirements (back x-ray, hearing test, drug/alcohol screen). Nice to Have
