Job title: Operator
About the Role The Reese Plant is a highly automated food manufacturing facility. Operators support processing and packaging in a fast-paced environment while upholding food safety and sanitation standards, performing daily audits, and completing production paperwork. Upon successful completion of a 90-calendar day probationary period, employees may be placed on 2nd or 3rd shifts for up to 36 months.
What You'll Do
- Operate processing and/or packaging equipment
- Operate a forklift
- Follow and interpret process information, perform quality checks (metal detectors, date codes, weight checks), and follow Autonomous Maintenance Programs (cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating equipment)
- Observe safety procedures, GMP, and good housekeeping practices
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma/GED
- Read, write, and comprehend English
- Flexible to work any shift (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and any shift length (8 or 12 hours)
- Available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Basic mathematics and basic computer skills
- Able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and support staff
Nice to Have
- Experience in manufacturing/food manufacturing
- Experience with GMP
- SQF practices and Food Safety documentation
- Autonomous Maintenance (AM) / Preventative Maintenance (PM)
- Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) such as SAP / LPR
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting payrate: $25.13/hour
