Operator

About the Role The Operator operates equipment in the assigned area to ensure quality, safety and performance standards while supporting continuous improvement and Mars' Five Principles. This role participates in area teams responsible for the efficient production of quality products and may perform changeovers and other assigned tasks as needed. What You'll Do

• Operate and change over equipment in the assigned area.
• Train and/or perform tasks of other associates as needed.
• Perform changeovers, deep cleanings, and maintain supplies for the designated work area.
• Properly fill out all paperwork and perform cleaning/inspection/lubrication tasks (CILs).
• Support a safe, clean work environment and maintain 5S standards.
• Actively participate in TPM (Total Productive Management) teams.
• Communicate effectively with team leader and peers; follow escalation protocols.
• Ensure HACCP and military sheets are completed accurately.
• Adhere to Five Principles of Mars while operating equipment.
• Maintain quality, safety and performance standards in the area and help with continuous improvement. What We're Looking For
• Minimum: Grade 12 or high school diploma; Preferred: Associate degree or higher in engineering or manufacturing.
• Related Experience: Preferred at least two (2) years in a food-related manufacturing environment with automated processes including PLC/HMI; experience in lean manufacturing and TPM is preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills: Minimum: math, communications, computer and problem-solving skills; Preferred: strong math, communication, computer and problem-solving skills.
• Physical Requirements: Frequent pushing/pulling/dumping and rolling of barrels; frequent lifting and carrying; frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending and stooping; frequent forklift/pallet jack movement. Nice to Have
• Experience in TPM environment and lean manufacturing.
