Job title: Operator Loader

About the Role The Loader Operator operates heavy equipment (front-end loader) to move bulk materials safely and efficiently. They also clean, maintain, and secure equipment per policies, procedures, and operator manuals. This role supports material handling, quality control, and compliance across the plant.

What You'll Do

• Operate front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to/from storage areas, feed conveyors, hoppers, and to load trucks or railcars.
• Start engine, shift gears, and control levers to move and dump material; position bucket as needed.
• Verify aggregate quantities in storage bins and fill hoppers to maintain material quality and quantity.
• Perform routine maintenance on loaders (lubrication, fueling, cleaning).
• Ensure raw materials meet established quality/quantity standards and assist in meeting performance indicators.
• Follow procedures to ensure the plant complies with state, federal, and local regulations; participate in minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment.
• Communicate with plant supervisor, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems and suggest improvements.
• May haul cement or additives in bulk or bags.
• Adhere to all Cemex, OSHA, and MSHA rules; wear proper safety equipment on plant grounds.
• Meet or exceed company safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Read, write, and speak English. Bilingual a plus.
• Working conditions include continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, extreme noise, and outdoor work; must wear protective equipment.
• Physical requirements: walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling; exert up to 100 pounds; may be required to sit for long periods and also walk/stand briefly.
• Must be able to perform all job functions including pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls.
