About the Role
Join Menasha Corporation as an Operator-in-Training in Mentor, OH, where you'll learn and perform assembly of packaging interiors using hand tools and equipment. This entry-level program focuses on building basic assembly skills, reading prints, and delivering safe, high-quality results while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Learn basic assembly skills
- Learn to read print drawings
- Wear yellow vest during OIT period
- Build and insert assembled interiors into plastic containers
- Perform self and peer quality inspection during assembly to ensure quality
- Work with Cell Lead to develop assembly skills
- Alert Cell Lead, Team Lead, Set Up and/or Supervisor to any issues with safety within the cell or quality of product being assembled
- Work in various cells throughout shift
- Verify parts and material to the work order
- Work in a safe and efficient manner using all PPE and safety devices as required, per STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed)
- Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain CI, 5S and STW activities
- Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Education/Certification: Level Required - None; Level Desired - High school diploma or equivalent
- Work Experience: Required - Entry level; Desired - 6 months of assembly manufacturing
Nice to Have
- 6 months of assembly/manufacturing experience (desired)
