About the Role The OCUA Operator at ANDRITZ will monitor, operate, and maintain the dryer system at the FMD Plant using a SCADA-based control system. This role blends technical, mechanical, and operational duties to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant plant performance during overnight shifts. What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor the dryer system through the SCADA computer interface
- Perform equipment changeouts including motors, drives, belts, pumps, valves, instrumentation, screw conveyors, and bucket elevators
- Conduct preventative maintenance on all plant equipment
- Complete oil changes and routine mechanical servicing
- Manage chemical storage and polymer applications
- Perform sludge sampling and maintain accurate recordkeeping
- Conduct plant rounds, inspections, and operational observations
- Support fire suppression systems and safety protocols
- Maintain inventory of parts, chemicals, and supplies
- Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures What We're Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Experience with industrial equipment or plant operations preferred
- Basic computer proficiency (SCADA experience is an asset)
- Ability to work independently on an overnight shift
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
