About the Role The Operations Supervisor ensures throughput targets are achieved in a safe, timely, quality, cost efficient and productive manner. They manage production schedules to fulfill orders and are accountable for achieving area performance objectives, product quality and variable costs. They ensure employees are accurately trained, assigned specific duties, coached, disciplined, and rewarded, and they optimize equipment availability and cycle times while pursuing continual improvement.
What You'll Do
- Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to the area to maximize productivity and minimize cost.
- Ensure throughput targets are met safely, on time, with quality and cost efficiency.
- Plan and manage production schedules to fulfill orders.
- Train, assign duties, coach, discipline, and reward employees.
- Optimize equipment availability, reduce cycle times, and drive continual improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in manufacturing/production supervision with a focus on safety, quality, and cost control.
- Ability to train and develop staff, assign responsibilities, coach and discipline as needed.
- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and coordinate activities across the area.
- Track record of optimizing equipment utilization and driving continuous improvement.
