Job title: Operations Supervisor
About the Role
The Operations Supervisor will oversee all operational services, import and export traffic in air and ocean trade, and drive operational excellence across the country. This role supports product initiatives, documentation processing, and customer service functions at the national level to ensure timely and compliant execution of shipments.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for statistics and KPIs of operational performance in the country/branch.
- Manage the relationship with IATA at the national level and ensure compliance with IATA operational requirements.
- Maintain awareness of key import and export vertical markets to support M&S development.
- Support subcontractor management, supplier agreements, and monitor performance (post landing services, customs clearance, etc).
- Oversee customer services, customer retention, and cross-selling in cooperation with M&S in-country.
- Collaborate with partners and the Sales Team to define necessary products to achieve targets and budget.
- Ensure compliance with rules and policy; manage relationships with customers and carriers.
- Visit customers and potential customers with the Sales Team for technical purposes.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines; self-motivated; able to work in a team and independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in transportation, ocean freight or international business preferred or equivalent; 5+ years of airfreight product experience.
- Knowledge and experience in Air Freight Operations duties; planning and cost control in Air Freight Product.
- Marketing and sales oriented capabilities and business development.
- English and Portuguese advanced proficiency (written and speaking).
