Job title: Operations Supervisor
About the Role Lead and supervise operations to meet defined operational KPIs while adhering to ALS's Values, Policies, Systems and Rules. This role requires close interaction with the ALS central laboratory in Brazil and with administrative and commercial areas.
What You'll Do
- Ensure shifts comply with Occupational Safety and Health System standards and practices.
- Ensure staff receive appropriate training to perform their roles.
- Ensure correct and timely recording of work orders and information in the system.
- Organize the area's work across different shifts and supervise compliance.
- Supervise and ensure shifts follow SOPs and other documents in the Quality System.
- Foster a work environment that contributes to productivity, service quality, and staff development.
- Ensure operation has inputs and services to ensure normal performance.
- Ensure compliance with the equipment maintenance program.
- Build a close and constructive relationship with clients.
- Implement actions that maximize staff development according to ALS needs.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Production Engineering, or related.
- Minimum 3 years' experience supervising operational teams.
- Advanced English; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) at intermediate/advanced level.
- Ability to adapt to changes in a competitive environment.
- Willingness to relocate.
- Actively practice teamwork and leadership.

- Strategic Planning/Thinking and Implementation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines.
- Availability to travel within the country.
