About this role
As an Operations Strategy Manager (UK&I), you will report to the Head of Operations Strategy (UK&I) and act as the strategic partner to our Fleet Management organisation. You will be responsible for the strategy, execution and continuous improvement of our in-field & warehouse operation. Working closely with the Fleet Management team, you will deliver operational excellence across agreed KPIs, and ensure successful city launches and completion of long term improvement projects. You will also collaborate closely with our Market Development team, third party logistics providers (3PLs), and internal stakeholders both locally & centrally. This is a hands-on, London based role with around one day a week of travel to our cities, in a business that has doubled year on year.
Key responsibilities
-
Define & shape the operations strategy (incl. logistic partner management, workforce management, service design execution), performance metrics and dashboards for the in-field and warehouse operations.
-
Lead data analysis to identify improvement opportunities and direct the focus of the Fleet Management team (e.g. backlog, downtime, battery management, cost per repair, repair efficiency), and share what works across markets.
-
Drive budgeting, forecasting and performance tracking.
-
Manage PMO-type operations projects (such as fleet swap-outs) to ensure successful implementation of cross-functional initiatives across Supply Chain, Market Development, Legal and Fleet Management, often without owning all the levers.
-
Contribute to city launches by coordinating cross-functional planning and execution with local and central stakeholders.
-
Collaborate with, and support the Fleet Managers in managing the process and relationship with the 3PLs through sourcing and contract negotiation.
-
Support the Fleet & Site Managers on execution, and act as the bridge between central and local teams to continuously drive compliance and work proactively to spot improvement opportunities to maximise efficiency, revenue and overall success of our operations.
Requirements
-
4+ years of experience in consulting, strategy or operations, ideally in a distributed or hardware-heavy environment (e.g. mobility, fleet, logistics, field service, retail or restaurant operations).
-
A degree in business, economics, engineering or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
-
Strong analytical capability and proficiency in independently conducting in-depth data analysis, identifying underlying drivers, and delivering actionable insights.
-
Experience running cross-functional projects end to end with multiple stakeholders, delivering results without owning all the levers.
-
Experience writing decision-ready analysis with clear recommendations for senior leadership.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication, able to move between senior and central stakeholders and frontline Fleet teams.
-
Experience using AI in a role-specific context, with a focus on continuously improving output quality.
-
Full professional proficiency in English.
