MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Provide senior operational support across production, processing, maintenance, drilling, logistics, or other assigned oil & gas activities.
• Monitor daily operations and identify deviations, constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate activities between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE, Logistics, and other support functions.
• Ensure operations are performed in accordance with approved procedures, operating standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Review operational data, reports, trends, and performance indicators.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of operational problems.
• Assist with operational planning, work coordination, shutdowns, turnarounds, start-ups, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor equipment and process performance and escalate abnormal conditions.
• Support implementation of operational improvements and reliability initiatives.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to junior personnel and contractors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review daily operational reports, production data, equipment status, and work schedules.

• Coordinate operating activities to maintain production and facility availability.

• Monitor critical operating parameters and investigate abnormal trends.

• Support preparation and execution of start-up, shutdown, isolation, and restart activities.

• Participate in operational risk assessments, toolbox meetings, and pre-job planning.

• Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), LOTO, SIMOPS, and other control-of-work requirements.

• Coordinate response to equipment failures, process upsets, and operational emergencies.

• Review operating procedures and recommend updates where required.

• Assist with root-cause investigations of recurring operational problems.

• Monitor contractor and service-provider performance within assigned operational areas.

• Maintain operational logs, reports, databases, and performance records.

• Track action items arising from audits, inspections, incidents, and operational reviews.

• Support continuous improvement, cost optimization, and operational efficiency initiatives.

• Prepare management reports and communicate operational issues, risks, and recommendations.

• Provide coaching and technical guidance to operations personnel.

• QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Process Technology, or a related discipline.

• Significant experience in oil & gas operations, preferably in production, processing, drilling, terminals, pipelines, or offshore facilities.

• Strong understanding of operating procedures, process systems, equipment, and facility operations.

• Experience with operational planning, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and work coordination.

• Knowledge of PTW, JSA/JHA, LOTO, SIMOPS, risk assessment, and emergency response.

• Ability to interpret operating procedures, P&IDs, process data, equipment documentation, and technical reports.

• Good knowledge of HSE and operational integrity requirements.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and coordination skills.

• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and service providers.

• Ability to work in onshore, offshore, plant, field, shutdown, and turnaround environments.
