Job Description We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations/Facility Officer to oversee the day-to-day operations of a growing health and wellness centre in Port Harcourt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, exceptional client experience, effective team performance, and consistent delivery of our service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service Delivery:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the centre and ensure smooth workflow across all departments.
  • Develop and implement operational processes, SOPs and controls.
  • Ensure the centre consistently meets established service and operational standards.
  • Identify operational gaps and implement solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.

Team Management:

  • Lead, supervise and coordinate operational and support teams.
  • Monitor staff attendance, performance, productivity and compliance with company policies.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork and a high-performance culture.
  • Support staff development and performance improvement initiatives.

Client Experience:

  • Monitor the client journey and ensure a consistently excellent client experience.
  • Handle operational complaints, escalations and service recovery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client satisfaction, retention and overall experience.

Vendor & Supplier Management:

  • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers and external service providers.
  • Source and evaluate vendors based on quality, reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate pricing, service terms and contracts where required.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure agreed service standards are maintained.
  • Coordinate procurement of operational supplies, equipment and other business needs.
  • Maintain proper vendor records and resolve vendor-related issues promptly.

Licensing, Regulatory & Liaison Management:

  • Coordinate the processing, renewal and maintenance of all required branch licences, permits, registrations and regulatory documentation.
  • Maintain an up-to-date regulatory and licensing calendar to ensure timely renewals and compliance.
  • Act as the branch’s liaison with relevant regulatory bodies, government agencies, service providers and other external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate regulatory inspections, correspondence, submissions and follow-up activities.
  • Ensure all required documentation is properly maintained and readily available.
  • Escalate regulatory issues and compliance risks to management promptly.

Facility & Inventory Management:

  • Ensure the centre, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and operationally ready.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate availability of supplies.
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs and other facility-related requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and internal operational standards.

Business & Performance Management:

  • Work closely with management to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular operational reports and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Support initiatives that improve revenue performance, cost management and overall business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Health Administration or a related field.
  • 3–4 years’ experience in operations management, preferably within healthcare, wellness, hospitality, beauty or another service-driven environment.
  • Proven experience managing teams, vendors and day-to-day business operations.
  • Experience coordinating licences, regulatory requirements or government liaison will be an added advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of operational controls, reporting and performance management.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Salary

N250,000 - N350,000 monthly.
