Job title: Operations Coordinator
About the Role The Operations Coordinator provides functional operational support across the Office of Online Student Success, focusing on student records management, record keeping, and enrollment/advising processes for online degree programs via Syracuse University Global. The role requires regular on-campus presence and occasional schedule flexibility, and operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment serving non-traditional learners.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain online and physical student records, including processing matriculations, petitions, IUTs, transfer credits, declarations, exceptions, FERPA forms, and other related documents.
- Maintain accuracy of student record keeping and ensure compliance with academic rules/regulations.
- Serve as primary point of contact for student correspondence; coordinate phone tree, office email coverage, and shared calendars for the Office of Online Student Success.
- Manage workflows: scanning/indexing/converting records; develop new workflows; assist colleagues with navigation.
- Support implementation of new projects/systems/training; develop instructional/training documentation; keep student resources and staff resources updated.
- Perform ongoing follow-up and auditing to ensure precise tracking; develop and maintain reporting systems.
What We're Looking For
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2-4+ years of office/administrative experience, preferably in an academic environment.
- Knowledge of University policies/procedures, Rules and Regulations; ability to interpret for School/College; experience with relevant software.
- Strong customer service, problem-solving, and detail-oriented administrative skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends; comfortable with regular on-campus presence.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting non-traditional learners or online degree programs is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $19.45 - $21.65 per hour. This is a full-time, on-campus role.
