Operations Attendant- Front Office

Location: WAIRAKEI RESORT TAUPO, Taupō, New Zealand

Wairakei Resort Taupō is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Operations Attendant (Front Office) to join our Front Office team. This is a great opportunity to be part of one of New Zealand’s iconic resort destinations. With a busy hotel, conference and events operation, Pavilion Restaurant and Geyser Bar & Eatery, no two days are the same.

About the role

As part of our Front Office team, you will be one of the first points of contact for our guests. You will help ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and a positive experience from arrival through to departure.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming and checking in guests
• Managing guest enquiries and requests
• Processing check-ins and check-outs
• Taking reservations and assisting with guest bookings
• Handling payments and providing accurate information
• Assisting guests with information about the resort and local Taupō attractions
• Responding to guest concerns and helping resolve issues professionally
• Working closely with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and other departments
• Maintaining a high standard of customer service at all times

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, approachable and professional

• Confident communicating with guests and team members

• Well organised with good attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a busy environment

• Reliable and flexible with their availability

• Able to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays

• Previous hotel or reception experience is preferred, but training can be provided
