UNICEF Caribbean Multi-Country Office Operations Associate (G6)
The Operations Associate (G6) is one of six geographically distributed positions located across Jamaica, Barbados, Belize, Guyana, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago. While physically based within a specific duty station, the position contributes to one of the six sub-regional operational workstreams, implementing specialized processes within an assigned portfolio. The incumbent functions as part of an integrated regional Operational Support Working Group, maintaining responsibility for a designated regional portfolio while contributing to business continuity, workload sharing, cross-functional collaboration and the seamless integration of operational services across the MCO.
The incumbent supports the coordination and sustaining regional service delivery arrangements within the assigned portfolio while supporting the implementation of standardized operating procedures, service management frameworks, operational performance monitoring mechanisms, business continuity arrangements and internal control requirements. Through these responsibilities, the position contributes to efficient, consistent, client-oriented and risk-informed operational service delivery across all twelve countries of the Caribbean MCO.
The Operations Associate has the following functions:
A. Common Accountabilities (Applicable to all six posts regardless of primary workstream assignment)
- Integrated Regional Operations Service Delivery
- Localized Operational Support and Duty Station Coordination
- Business Continuity, Cross-Coverage and Knowledge Sharing
- Driver Supervision, Performance Management and Operational Coordination (Applicable to positions assigned supervisory responsibility for Driver posts within the Caribbean MCO)
B. Functional Workstream Accountability (In addition to the common accountabilities above, each incumbent will be assigned primary responsibility for one of the six regional operational workstreams outlined below while contributing to the integrated delivery of services across the Caribbean MCO)

Minimum requirements:
Education
- Completion of secondary education (high school diploma) is a minimum requirement. Professional and/or University courses in business administration or finance are desirable.
Work Experience:
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant work experience in one or more areas including administration, operations, finance or any other relevant function is required, preferably with the UN or an international organization.
- Experience in planning, organizing and delivering administrative support services is highly desirable.
- Experience in dealing with confidential and sensitive communication and information is desirable.
- Proven ability to organise and prioritise is desirable
- Knowledge of UN/UNICEF'S rules, regulations and procedures is considered as an asset.
- Experience with a Development organization is an asset.
