About the Role ACU seeks an Open Rank Tenure Track faculty member in the Operations and Information Systems area with a start date in Fall 2027. The position emphasizes teaching undergraduate and potentially graduate courses in operations management, information systems, data analytics, and applied artificial intelligence for business students in residential and online programs. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching pipelines across on-campus and online formats; possible courses include Operations Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Data Visualization, and Applied AI Solution Development Systems. Some courses include experiential learning components that may involve partnering with external clients.

What You'll Do

  • Teach undergraduate and potentially graduate courses in operations management, information systems, data analytics, and/or applied AI for business students in residential and online programs.
  • Deliver courses such as Operations Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Data Visualization, and Applied AI Solution Development Systems.
  • Incorporate experiential learning opportunities through external client partnerships when appropriate.
  • Maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status through peer‑reviewed publications, presentations, and professional development aligned with AACSB Accreditation.
  • Mentor students and participate in departmental, college, and university service, as well as collaborative work with colleagues.
  • Support and engage with the College of Business Administration and ACU’s online programs (e.g., coordination with ACU‑Dallas for online offerings).

What We're Looking For

  • An earned doctorate (completed or near completion) in operations management, information systems, data analytics, artificial intelligence, business management, or a related field.
  • A strong record of relevant research and/or professional experience and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Proven college/university teaching experience or strong promise in teaching.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to support ACU’s Christian mission as a professing Christian.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with experiential learning, external client collaborations, and online program delivery.
  • Engagement with AACSB accreditation standards and related teaching innovations.

Compensation & Benefits
