A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Operational Technician in our Grid Access Maintenance and Warranty team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Transmission Service Business onshore across Ireland and the UK. You will be involved in the planning, development, and execution of maintenance and warranty works for high voltage substation and synchronous condensers. Your work will directly impact the reliability and availability of energy supply for our blue-chip clients in the Power Transmission, Distribution, and Generation sectors.
You will collaborate closely with various teams, ensuring compliance with work specifications and health and safety regulations. Your ability to investigate and rectify faults will be crucial in maintaining the high standards expected by our customers, while also contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Ensure compliance with work specifications, local management instructions, statutory requirements, and health and safety regulations.
- Support the planning, development, and execution of maintenance and warranty works for all plant and equipment within the contract scope.
- Prepare and maintain suitable Risk and Method Statements prior to the commencement of work.
- Investigate and rectify faults, preparing reports to meet quality assurance and customer requirements.
- Interpret test and inspection reports, initiating appropriate actions as necessary.
- Complete and upload all maintenance documentation on the Maintenance Management System as per procedures.
What You Bring
- Experience in performing maintenance, craftsman, or fault rectification activities on high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) apparatus within a service environment.
- Working knowledge of Quality and Asset Management Systems.
- An electrical or mechanical qualification is preferred.
- Proficient IT skills, particularly with Microsoft 365 products.
- Organised, practical, and logical approach to work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and suppliers.
- Flexibility to travel between various sites across Ireland and the UK.
- Full valid driving license
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
