Job title: Operational Technician IV (Ops Tech IV)
About the Role The Operational Technician IV is responsible for the effective operation, changeovers, and day-to-day operation of manufacturing machines and equipment. This role also provides technical assistance for solving issues with production machines and equipment and contributes to continuous improvement efforts.
What You'll Do
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, OSHA safety requirements, and company safety guidelines for facility and production equipment.
- Provide mechanical and electrical skills for routine and preventive maintenance.
- Support the shift maintenance team in problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Serve as a problem-solving and continuous-improvement resource for PLC programming, variable speed drives, electrical and pneumatic controls, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair production machine equipment and systems.
- Contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
- Make electrical connections for electrical devices.
- Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics for troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot all industrial systems (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical).
- Support sanitation and housekeeping standards.
- Identify root causes of room issues (technical and administrative reporting) to minimize downtime.
- Inspect and perform routine upkeep of machines; conduct quality checks.
- Ensure manufacturing lines have the supplies/resources needed to operate efficiently.
- Participate in daily AM checklists and complete paperwork.
- Coordinate production changes ensuring proper line clearance and paperwork.
- Issue materials and ensure accurate transactions to Production Orders and Reports.
- Review operator production results via iAuditor and ensure accurate end-of-shift records.
- Support the introduction of new technology.
- Demonstrate teamwork, strong communication, and a hands-on, positive style.
- Model safe behaviors and follow LOTO protocol.
- Contribute ideas to capital planning, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Report food/product safety problems or risks immediately; take action if possible.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

- Automation experience a plus.
- Understanding of pneumatic/vacuum technology.
- Ability to use measuring/leveling tools.
