Job title: Operational Controlling Senior Specialist

About the Role As a Senior Specialist in Operational Controlling, you will monitor and improve the plant's operational and financial performance, working cross-functionally with finance, operations, planning, and continuous improvement teams to ensure cost, availability and efficiency targets.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor and report KPIs (cost per unit, variances, yield, OEE, inventories and turns) for management decisions.
  • Consolidate and validate operational and financial data to ensure integrity and traceability in corporate systems.
  • Prepare analyses of cost and volume variances, identify root causes and propose corrective actions with process owners.
  • Develop and maintain cost models, forecast and scenario analyses to support annual planning and periodic business reviews.
  • Collaborate in budgeting, monthly closings and reconciliations between operations and finance, ensuring internal policies and SOX controls where applicable.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) with quantified benefits and tracking of financial and operational milestones.
  • Participate in ERP/system implementation or improvement projects (ERP, cost modules, BI) providing requirements and validating results.
  • Generate and present executive reports and dashboards for local and global stakeholders, including ad hoc analyses for strategic decisions.
  • Train and mentor local teams in operating control, reporting and the use of analytical tools.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in controlling, operational finance, FP&A or similar roles in automotive manufacturing.
  • Advanced English (Indispensable) for interaction with global teams.
  • Strong knowledge of cost analysis, management accounting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Practical experience with ERP (e.g., SAP) and reporting/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel with modeling and macros).
  • Analytic capability and results orientation, with experience identifying cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Availability to travel (Mexico and the US).
