About the Role Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. May conduct quality inspections on the processing line and may disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. Little or no knowledge of the job is required at start; the role involves acquiring job skills and procedures to complete routine tasks under close supervision, typically with less than 1 year of experience.
What You'll Do
- Perform production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- Read diagrams and drawings; make initial layouts.
- Use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
- Make continuity checks on work in process and completed products.
- May conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies under simulated conditions.
- Learn job skills and procedures to complete routine tasks under close supervision.
- Typically less than 1 year of experience.
What We're Looking For
- No/limited prior knowledge required; ability to learn and acquire job skills and procedures for routine tasks under supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams and drawings and to create/verify layouts.
- Experience or ability to use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
- Ability to conduct quality inspections and tests in line with quality specifications.
- Aptitude for disassembling, modifying, reworking, reassembling, and testing experimental or prototype assemblies under simulated conditions.
- Typically less than 1 year of experience.
- This role is based in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.
