About the Role
ESAB is seeking an Assembly Operator B to perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. The role involves working from diagrams and drawings, making initial layouts, and using hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. You may perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies and may conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications. The position may also involve disassembling, modifying, reworking, reassembling, and testing experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Typically, the role requires little or no prior knowledge of the job, with the incumbent acquiring skills and procedures to complete routine tasks and operating under close supervision.
