About the Role We are seeking an OpenShift Engineer to deploy and manage OpenShift-based platforms and related infrastructure. You will support 24x7 operations, YAML modifications, and monitoring across on-premises and cloud environments to enable scalable, resilient container deployments. What You'll Do
- Application deployment on OpenShift and YAML modification
- Infra setup, Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and 24x7 support
- Strong experience in Red Hat OpenShift deployment and Administration with Kubernetes and Linux OS deployments
- Deployment / management of OpenShift Container Platform (configure master and node for one or more clusters)
- Knowledge of application onboarding to OpenShift and onboarding Nodes with various workloads
- ISTIO configurations and maintenance support
- QUAY registry and ROBO accounts for image pull/push
- Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration
- Deploy OpenShift Container Platform in public and private cloud
- Basic knowledge on Ansible
- Provision persistent storage and use it for the internal registry
- Scripting in Python / Shell Scripting / PowerCLI
- Build automation, CI/CD and DevOps basics
- OpenShift system integration, IaS and Cloud knowledge
- OpenShift – Kubernetes, OpenShift 4.x, ArgoCD and GitOps experience preferred
- Linux, Windows, VMware vSphere
- Excellent written and oral communications skills What We're Looking For
- Experience in Red Hat OpenShift deployment and Administration with Kubernetes and Linux OS deployments
- Clear understanding of container concepts, Docker, Kubernetes, and OCP
- Deployment/management experience in setting up OpenShift Container Platform (master and node for clusters)
- Knowledge of application onboarding to OpenShift and onboarding Nodes/workloads
- ISTIO configurations and supportable skill for maintenance
- Knowledge on QUAY registry and ROBO accounts for image pull/push
- Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration
- Knowledge of Red Hat Linux systems and Atomic host
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities to deploy OpenShift Container Platform in both public and private cloud
- Basic knowledge on Ansible
- Experience in configuring control access to OpenShift container resources
- Provision persistent storage and use it for the internal registry
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud delivery models: PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS
- Basic knowledge on Build automation, CI/CD and DevOps
- Experience with OpenShift system integration, Infrastructure as a Service and Cloud knowledge
- In depth knowledge in OpenShift – Kubernetes, [ OpenShift 4.x, ArgoCD and GitOps experience preferred ]
- Scripting: Python / Shell Scripting / PowerCLI
- Experience working with Linux, Windows, VMWare vSphere
- Strong Red Hat Linux OS knowledge
- Scripting skills in Python / Shell Scripting /Power CLI
- Excellent written and oral communications skills Nice to Have
- OpenShift – Kubernetes with OpenShift 4.x, ArgoCD and GitOps experience preferred
