About the job

Company Description

Yoda Tech Pte. Ltd., based in Singapore, focuses on dividing aspects of digitalization into small logical micro-initiatives using ready-to-use Micro-bots, instead of large transformational initiatives. This approach aims to reduce IT Operations spending. Our core areas include Automate + Robotize, Power Application Development, Infrastructure, Maintenance, and Support.

Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Intermediate Onsite Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. In this role, you will provide hands-on support for local area networks, manage core networking hardware, and ensure seamless connectivity and secure office communications. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with enterprise routing, switching, wireless environments, and firewall administration. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced office setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tier-2 technical support for office networking infrastructure, including troubleshooting routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.

  • Manage network provisioning and configuration processes for new office expansions, hardware deployments, and port activations.

  • Configure and maintain enterprise Wi-Fi networks in office and conference spaces, ensuring seamless roaming, high bandwidth availability, and guest network security.

  • Perform basic network administration tasks, such as VLAN configuration, subnetting, DHCP/DNS management, and access control list (ACL) implementation.

  • Deploy and maintain firmware updates, patches, and configurations across network switches and firewalls for compliance and security reporting.

  • Support network monitoring and security tools, tracking bandwidth utilization, identifying bottlenecks, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.

  • Collaborate with remote IT and security teams to escalate complex network incidents and contribute to network architecture documentation and knowledge base updates.

  • Conduct routine hardware audits, structured cabling, rack management, and basic physical troubleshooting in the office telecommunications room.

  • Ensure data security and compliance by following corporate network security policies and industry best practices.

  • Required Skills and Experience

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficient in enterprise networking hardware administration (e.g., Cisco, Aruba, or Juniper switches, routers, and firewalls), including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Strong experience with LAN/WAN routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and VLAN segmentation.

  • Hands-on experience with wireless network controllers and guest portal provisioning workflows.

  • Skilled in setting up and troubleshooting site-to-site VPNs, remote access solutions, and network security protocols.

  • Basic knowledge of core network services including Active Directory-integrated DNS and DHCP.

  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SNMP, PRTG, or SolarWinds) for performance tracking and inventory management.

  • Working knowledge of structured cabling standards (Cat6/Fiber optics), rack layouts, and patch panel management.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact with non-technical users and coordinate with vendors.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment and document network resolutions clearly.

  • Strong analytical mindset for diagnosing and resolving complex network routing or latency issues efficiently.

Experience

  • 5 plus years of network engineering experience, with at least 1 year focused on enterprise network environments and infrastructure administration.

  • Proven track record in on-site support roles, including hardware rack-and-stack, structured cabling, and network device deployment.
