About the Role AoPS Online Grader (General Interest) is a remote, flexible freelance role that involves providing mentoring feedback on writing problems to middle and high school students. Graders help students grow in problem solving, content understanding, and communication by delivering thoughtful, high-quality feedback through AoPS's online portal. What You'll Do
- Provide personalized feedback on writing problems through the online portal to help students improve problem solving and communication.
- Grade student work and offer mentoring feedback to support content mastery across math, Python, physics, and chemistry as needed.
- Work on a flexible schedule from anywhere with a stable internet connection.
- Maintain high standards of math content knowledge and clear English writing in all feedback.
- Collaborate with AoPS curriculum team as needed to align feedback with course objectives. What We're Looking For
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or higher.
- Strong command of the material (math, Python, physics, or chemistry).
- Excellent English writing skills with clear, constructive feedback.
- Ability to mentor students through written feedback and communicate effectively.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working remotely with online tools. Nice to Have
- Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring in an online environment.
- Familiarity with AoPS-style problem solving and the AoPS curriculum.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. Compensation & Benefits
