Job title: Online Adjunct- Accounting
About the Role Liberty University seeks an online adjunct faculty member to teach graduate-level accounting courses. The role supports the university’s mission and requires commitment to the evangelical standards and Christian worldview. This is a part-time, remote position with teaching and administrative responsibilities tied to the course schedule and student outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Teach courses as assigned from approved curriculum and schedule.
- Engage students with weekly announcements and emails, and perform related administrative tasks (roster verification, reporting, final grades).
- Provide regular and timely feedback to students and assist them in achieving learning objectives and outcomes.
- Maintain student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies; advise students on academics, attendance, and behaviors.
- Participate in retention initiatives and collaborate with program leadership and colleagues; uphold Liberty University policies and represent the university professionally.
- Perform other duties as assigned and work effectively as a team member to support LU’s mission.
What We're Looking For
- Terminal degree in Accounting or a related field to teach at the graduate level. Acceptable related fields include Accountancy, Accounting Information Systems, Auditing, Taxation, Financial Reporting, and Forensic Accounting.
- Ability to teach graduate students online and commitment to Liberty University’s evangelical standards and mission; capable of modeling personal spiritual formation and a biblically informed Christian worldview.
- Strong organization skills, ability to manage coursework, grade submission, and timely communication with students and staff.
- Familiarity with university policies and online instructional environments; capacity to work with Instructional Mentors, Faculty Support Coordinators, Online Chairs.
Nice to Have
- Experience or willingness to teach in online adjunct settings; familiarity with graduate-level accounting topics; experience with roster management and grading software.
- Additional related fields considered: Accountancy, Accounting Information Systems, Auditing, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Forensic Accounting.
Compensation & Benefits
