Oncology Medical Science Liaison

About the Role As an Oncology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) and representative of BioNTech's Oncology Medical Affairs, you will collaborate with external healthcare professionals, scientific leaders, and institutions to share and discuss evidence-based information about our oncology/solid tumor portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for the territory, map key accounts, and plan impactful medical engagements aligned with medical objectives.
• Cultivate partnerships with academic centers, centers of excellence, and integrated care systems to drive regional impact.
• Act as a member of BioNTech's US field-based scientific/medical expert team delivering medical education, updates, and insights from U.S. HCPs.
• Develop partnerships with investigators and thought leaders through evidence-based communication and education.
• Support and identify U.S. clinical trial sites and opportunities aligned with the oncology strategy.
• Document and communicate actionable insights collected in the field to internal stakeholders.
• Provide input and/or attendance at prioritized oncology conferences, medical education programs, advisory boards, and trainings.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation of interactions and compliance/safety reporting aligned with local policies.

What We're Looking For

• Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, MD/DO or PhD preferred) with 3-5+ years of oncology MSL or comparable customer-facing role.
• Working therapeutic knowledge of gynecologic malignancies and breast cancer; established HCP/external expert network.
• Preferred locations: San Francisco, CA and Las Vegas, NV.
• External customer focus with strong networking capabilities and engagement with the medical/scientific community.
• Excellent collaboration, networking, presentation, and communication skills; proven cross-functional teamwork.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt priorities; solid understanding of clinical trials/protocols and drug development lifecycle.
• Highest ethical standards; working knowledge of GCP and PhRMA Code on Interactions with HCPs.
• Proficiency with remote collaboration tools and other digital platforms.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within territory (50-70%); valid driver's license.

Nice to Have

• Experience building and maintaining investigator networks and scientific collaborations (optional).

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $146,300 - $234,100 per year, plus benefits, annual bonus, and equity.
