About the Role As an Offshore Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician based at Formosa, you will ensure the optimal performance and availability of offshore wind turbines through diligent maintenance and expert troubleshooting. This role operates in a demanding offshore environment where safety is paramount, requiring a high degree of professionalism and adherence to strict safety protocols. You will be involved in the full maintenance lifecycle, from mission preparation to execution and detailed reporting. What You'll Do
- 60% Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform annual preventive maintenance on wind turbines, including work on high-voltage systems; diagnose and troubleshoot faults in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and automation systems; execute corrective maintenance to restore turbine functionality; conduct inspections and tests to ensure equipment integrity and performance.
- 40% Mission Preparation and Reporting: Participate in daily briefings and prepare for missions by gathering necessary documentation, tools, and spare parts; ensure safe transfers to and from offshore turbines via crew transfer vessels; create detailed and accurate reports on maintenance activities, findings, and parts used.
- Works on a 7/7 rotation schedule offshore, maintaining safety and operational discipline while collaborating within a skilled technician team. What We're Looking For
- Vocational degree or diploma in a technical field such as Maintenance, Mechanics, Electrotechnics, or Automation.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial environment; wind energy sector experience is a significant advantage.
- Technical expertise across Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical (including High Voltage), and Automation/Control Systems; Fault Diagnosis and Troubleshooting; Technical Reporting.
- Adherence to Offshore Safety Protocols (Offshore, Working at Heights); English language proficiency for technical communication.
