We are looking for a dependable Office Manager to support daily workplace operations for a Contract position based in Washington, District of Columbia. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating an organized, welcoming office environment while handling a wide range of administrative needs. The role will partner with internal teams, assist with communication and meeting coordination, and step in wherever support is needed to keep the office running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day office activities and provide broad administrative support to ensure efficient operations.

  • Monitor inventory levels, purchase workplace materials, and keep office supplies stocked and organized.

  • Arrange meal orders for the office and coordinate related logistics for team needs.

  • Serve as a central point of contact for both internal staff and external visitors, handling communication in a thoughtful and organized manner.

  • Prepare conference rooms for meetings by organizing space, materials, and basic setup requirements.

  • Maintain a visible, helpful presence in the office and respond quickly to routine requests and unexpected needs.

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Market Development team based on shifting priorities and project demands.

  • Help coordinate internal gatherings and team events, including social functions and informal office celebrations.

  • Support front-desk and reception-related tasks as needed, including greeting guests and assisting with general inquiries.

  • Prior experience in office administration, office management, or a similar support-focused role.

  • Ability to manage office supply purchasing, inventory tracking, and general workplace organization.

  • Familiarity with administrative tasks such as scheduling, communications, and receptionist support.

  • Working knowledge of accounts payable processes or experience assisting with invoice-related administrative duties.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented and service-oriented approach.

  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks at once and adjusting quickly to changing office priorities.

  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and provide hands-on support where needed.
