Offensive Security Engineer, Intermediate

About the Role The MIL Corporation seeks an Offensive Security Engineer, Intermediate to support the Naval Aviation Red Team at NAS Patuxent River, MD. This role focuses on vulnerability research, tool development, and risk assessments to support AIR-RT operations and secure DoD networks. What You'll Do

• Conduct vulnerability research and develop tools in support of AIR-RT Operations.
• Perform technical and nontechnical risk and vulnerability assessments of local computing environments, networks, enclave boundaries, supporting infrastructure, and applications.
• Analyze the security of new or existing applications and provide actionable results; evaluate technology feasibility and security.
• Conduct threat analysis and mitigation research; identify issues and vulnerabilities in operational programs.
• Travel up to 10% to other sites, as required. What We're Looking For
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Must obtain qualifications aligned with one or more DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) roles—111, 221, 461, 511, 531, 541, 612, or 622—within 60 days of contract performance start.
• Programming in Python; experience utilizing GHIDRA and reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro.
• Ability to interact and communicate with clients and project/task sponsors; capable of working in a diverse, fast-paced team environment.
• High degree of organizational and communication skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or related discipline; related Master’s degree and/or advanced certifications may be considered in lieu of required experience.
• Clearance: Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. Nice to Have
• Knowledge of adversarial threat representation tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Experience and knowledge of naval aviation acquisition programs.
• Certification in either Microsoft or Linux OS.
• Experience conducting reverse engineering tasks on aviation-based platforms and support systems. Compensation & Benefits
• Salary range: $115,000 - $170,000 per year.
