Job title: Of Counsel - Real Estate
About the Role Taft is seeking a team-oriented Of Counsel to join its Real Estate practice in the Detroit office. The role requires at least 7+ years of experience in real estate transactions, including acquisition, disposition, financing, and commercial office leasing, to support the Real Estate practice group.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic legal guidance on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and commercial office leasing.
- Draft, negotiate, and close real estate documents and agreements.
- Collaborate with Taft's Detroit Real Estate practice group and clients to deliver practical solutions.
- Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business development and client service efforts.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in real estate law, with transaction experience in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and commercial office leasing.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and able to work in the Detroit office.
- Excellent communication, negotiating, drafting, and counseling skills.
