Job title: Ocean Export Supervisor
About the Role The Ocean Export Supervisor will be responsible for the end-to-end performance and profitability of the local Ocean Export product team, including Operations and Customer Service. This role drives the performance of the ocean freight specialists team while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Manage, oversee, and perform supervisory tasks to direct and control activities to effectively manage end-to-end Ocean Export processes.
- Serve as the escalation contact for customer Ocean Export shipments; responsible for financials; sets, communicates, and drives KPIs to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure safety, security, and good working practices for customer shipments and staff.
- Collaborate with internal customers for seamless customer service and improve process flows; engage with sales to grow business by participating in sales meetings and customer calls.
- Review month-end reports, review P/L, open Accounts Payables/Accounts Receivables; escalates carrier performance issues when required with the US Ocean Freight Product team.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience with Freight Forwarding; strong preference for Ocean Export experience.
- 1+ years of supervisory / leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
- Basic knowledge of CargoWise system is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to include driving KPIs, employee engagement / team building. Strong ability to develop, coach, train, and mentor staff to success.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentations).
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Nice to Have
- CargoWise system knowledge / experience (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $68,722.50 - $91,630.00 per year (based on experience).
