Job title: Occupational Therapist I Outpatient
About the Role The Occupational Therapist I Outpatient works in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic with a diverse patient population. You will collaborate with multiple OTs, including Certified Hand Therapists, and specialize in orthopedic injuries (hand and upper extremity) and neurological deficits (including CVA, post-concussion and memory loss). The role provides one-on-one care in 45-minute sessions for both initial evaluations and follow-ups. This position supports Meredith and Gilford outpatient locations and participates in a strong mentorship program.
What You'll Do
- Perform patient evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with licensure, scope of practice and departmental standards.
- Re-evaluate patients according to department standards. Develop, re-assess and update goals for all patient episodes of care.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the profound and prolonged impact of disability upon an individual's physical, emotional, social, economic and vocational status.
- Ensure documentation is compliant with HIMS/QA standards and meets all customer and medico-legal needs.
- Maintain a level of productivity that supports patient access and clinic needs.
- Manage all insurance and charging requirements.
- Advocate for, and be active in, developing team members.
- Take responsibility for individual performance goals.
- Complete hospital and departmental requirements according to established procedures (including timely documentation and discharges, payroll/submissions, Work Day requirements, reviewing meeting minutes, obtaining additional information as needed, completing clinical competencies, performing self-reviews, providing constructive peer feedback, and ensuring CPR certification is active).
- Participate in hospital and/or departmental initiatives, including student supervision, job shadow/resident shadow, community education, program development, professional promotional activities, in-services or projects related to coursework, and hospital-wide projects or initiatives.

What We're Looking For
- Education: Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Certification, Registration & Licensure: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent, within 90 days of hire; re-certification within 30 days of expiration.
- Licensure: Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of NH.
- Experience: Requires experience working with a multidisciplinary team, patients and others. Must possess knowledge of growth and development across a diverse age and multicultural population.
Nice to Have
- Experience in outpatient settings and/or specialization in hand and upper-extremity injuries and/or neurology; ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and participate in mentorship and staff development.
