Occupational Therapist - Adult Social Care
Our client in Cheshire East is recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to join its Adult Social Care service. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist to develop their expertise within a supportive local authority environment, undertaking person-centred assessments and delivering interventions that promote independence, wellbeing, and improved outcomes for adults living within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Occupational Therapy assessments for adults in the community
- Assess for equipment, adaptations, and moving and handling needs
- Support independence through strengths-based interventions
- Work closely with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and assessment reports
- Contribute to safe discharge planning and community support where required
Requirements
- HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
- Adult Social Care or Community OT experience
- Knowledge of equipment, adaptations, and moving and handling
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload
