About the Role Provide a concise summary: The role is to provide a comprehensive occupational health and primary health service within Eskom's Health and Wellness function at Simmerpan (Germiston), aligned with Eskom health policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Act No. 85 of 1993. The position focuses on health surveillance, case management, and advisory support to stakeholders. What You'll Do
- Implement an occupational health surveillance programme in the business unit (BU)/division/health centre according to occupational risk exposure profile (OREP).
- Prepare and coordinate cases for proposed medical boarding, incapacity, sick leave management, disability and assessments in consultation with the Eskom occupational health medicine practitioner (OHMP).
- Monitor and refer acute and chronic cases to the relevant health and wellness function inside or outside Eskom.
- Provide an advisory, consultative and specialist service to all stakeholders.
- Capture and record data of all activities on SAP EHS. What We're Looking For
- Qualification(s): Bachelor of Nursing (NQF8) with 480 credits plus Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health (NQF8) with 120 credits plus Dispensing Licensing Certificate; Professional Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Experience: Related minimum of 4 years in occupational health and primary health care and managerial experience.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of relevant labour and health legislation (OH Act 85 of 1993), PFMA, Eskom policies, EPPF, and social claims; understanding of health care delivery models; SAP EHS; primary health care; sickness/absenteeism management; wellness service contracts; medical aid schemes and chronic disease management; excellent written and verbal communication; leadership and people management; project management; problem solving; analytical and negotiation skills; conflict management; computer literacy.
