About this role

About the Role This Occupational Health and Safety Manager role in British Columbia partners with employees and supervisors to identify and correct potential safety and health hazards and to provide compliance assurance and assistance. The successful candidate will work with little supervision and apply advanced OH&S knowledge across areas including fleet safety, personnel safety, process safety, equipment safety, industrial hygiene and product safety to protect employee health and safety. You will also provide leadership, guidance and support in the prevention and control of all incidents. What You'll Do

  • Work closely with line managers to support zero-incident and zero-harm safety and health goals.
  • Help implement safe and compliant standard work practices and monitor adherence via safety inspections.
  • Spot opportunities to improve safety performance and drive proactive improvements.
  • Stay current with local safety regulations and company policies to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Train site employees on requirements to meet safety compliance and company procedures.
  • Report incidents, lead investigations, and facilitate root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct industrial hygiene monitoring and liaise with regulatory inspectors as needed.
  • Assist in hazardous work situations to maintain safety.
  • Review and complete Management of Change processes.
  • Maintain online accounts for third-party contractor safety approvals such as ISNetworld, PICS, and ComplyWorks. What We're Looking For
  • 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in industrial occupational health and safety.
  • CRSP or CIH certification.
  • Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken) is a valuable asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and related training materials software.
  • Strong project management abilities to drive initiatives on track.
  • Solid knowledge of OH&S regulations and Canadian standards.
  • Excellent training and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership skills to guide and inspire teams. Nice to Have
  • Proficiency with ISNetworld, PICS, and ComplyWorks contractor safety platforms (asset). Compensation & Benefits
